Weather Contingency
Worried about rain dampening your kite-flying spirits? Fear not! Barring steady downpours, the festival will go on, adapting to the weather conditions. Even in the event of light rain or mist, kites will still take to the skies, though some of the larger ones might remain grounded. Stay updated with real-time weather adjustments through our website and Facebook page.
Parking Information
Parking shouldn’t be a hassle. Enjoy free parking on Long Beach Township and Ship Bottom streets, but please be mindful not to obstruct private driveways.
Cost of Attendance
Here’s the best part: attending the Kite Festival won’t cost you a dime! It’s a free event open to all. However, donations are graciously accepted during Friday’s and Saturday’s Night Events to support the festival’s continuation and growth.
On-Site Information
Navigating the festival grounds is a breeze with our Public Information Tent stationed at 21st Street in Ship Bottom. Knowledgeable volunteers will be on standby throughout the weekend to assist you. Additionally, our website hosts a comprehensive schedule of events for easy access.

Take home a piece of the excitement with official festival merchandise available for purchase. Visit Chick’s LBI Shop onsite, where you’ll find an array of short sleeve and long sleeve t-shirts, hoodies, and of course, kites to commemorate your LBI FLY experience.
Facilities
Nature calls? We’ve got you covered. Portable restrooms will be conveniently located at the top of select beach entrances along 18th, 20th, and 21st streets in Ship Bottom. Alternatively, head to Ship Bottom Borough Hall on 17th Street for public restroom facilities. In Long Beach Township, bathrooms await on 68th Street.
